 The winter is coming, and some of us are already accomodated and starting a new life in Athens, its time to rest and maybe this  weekend you can enjoy the exotic landscapes that Athens offers through its nearby and mediterranean beachs. For this reason I would like to share with you all I know about this, and I hope that many of you, after reading this post, decide to take a day and visit some of the spots what I am speaking about right down:

Three Beautiful Beachs in Athens:

1.-Alimos  11 kmon the south of the town:

Description: Due to its closeness to Athens city centre, this is one of the most popular beaches close to the town. Many cafeterias and sports centres surround this beach.  There are showers and beach umbrellas available and even exciting water sports like jet skiing and windsurfing, its all here at Alimos beach.



2.-Kokkino Limanaki Athens: 27km on the east:

Its name means the little red harbour, because the colour of the cliffs. The around is really nice and green, its just the typical mediterranean forest beach with pines and white sand. Its a calm place where staying relaxing and its a beautiful place to practice scuba diving, too.




Votsalakia 11 km on the South, near Pireos
Is one of the most popular beachs in the south of Athens, near the Piraeus Harbourt, and the busy neighbourhood of Kastella. Its full of restaurants and cafeterias.On the beach several voleyball court and few close to the shore, a small rocky islet, its easy to come by bus from piraeus or Neo Faliro.
