Aberdeen
8Feeling good with yourself
I guess that part of me being so happy in Aberdeen is because I feel good. Not only I feel good because this town is lovely and of the fantastic people I am getting to know here, I feel good with myself.
I feel for the first time ever that I am actually spending my time in way that I feel useful for others. Erasmoos (with the “Apadrina un ERASMUS” initiative), the Photography Society (as one of their newest members and already their community manager), the Gaudie (as a resident photographer)… These are only a few examples of achievements I am doing here and in a way I think I am actually helping others to do something big, even bigger. And that feels really good.
So good, that I can’t really think of a different way of doing things right now: Think big.
Aim so high that, even if the shot goes down, it will still make it high enough to make you feel proud of yourself.
Because at the end of the day, going to bed (or not… it is 5.54am and I am writing this… silly me) with the feeling of having done something good, useful, etc. ; it is perhaps the most amazing experience in the world.
So here is an advice: Do at least one thing per day that you would feel proud of in the future. It doesn’t matter if you are not taking any profit out of it: if it feels right, it feels right, and that is what really counts.
And after this, I am going to bed with that feeling with me.
Good night.
